“I’m not going after Ric again anytime soon,” Damon said with a roll of his eyes. As much as he wanted his friend home he didn’t want to put everyone else in danger including Meredith. If he did decide to go after Ric again he would need a better plan.

Meredith sighed she knew this was hard for him but its not like she had a way of making it better, she had tried by going to Chicago. Seeing her friends upset for such a long time was starting to take a toll on her, which is why she decided to be reckless for a few days. “Well when you do..” she said not finishing her sentence to simply just lay her head on his shoulder and taking one of his hands in hers once again. She knew that if he didn’t say so she’d probably end up hunting him down and then they’d have another problem on their hands but that wasn’t something she wanted to worry about now. “You know unless you really want me to go Buffy on your ass” she said snorting a little. Why everyone compared her to Buffy? She had no idea but she had become so used to it that she used her as a comparison as well.

“I went looking for you and I knew when I couldn’t find you that you went to Chicago. You aren’t a hard girl to figure out Meredith,” Damon said with a slight chuckle. “You like to play hero so I knew you went there to figure out what you could do to fix the situation.”

Meredith sighed “Hey!” she said nudging him with one of her arms a little. “I’m not that predictable” she said pouting a little to then sigh and shortly after let out a laugh “Okay maybe just a little” she said softly as she took in a long breath. “But okay, no more solo excursions” she said looking up at him. After they left she had considered going solo once again but for some reason the conversation they had in the hotel room shut those thoughts out she in a way promised she’d be home right? “But can you do something for me?” she said suddenly sitting up and turning to face him. “I know that Ric is your friend and that I basically have no way on stopping you” she said through gritted teeth. “But if you were to leave again could you at least just tell me? And you know don’t fall off the face of the earth” she said softly. “Because believe it or not, I kind of care..” well okay so she truly cared but she wasn’t about to say it up right and besides this is who they were right?
